“As a PUI, I feel the stigma of having this virus. I’d like to believe that I’m okay. That everything is alright. One day, I will see the world again, as beautiful as how Ben&Ben described it in the song, Leaves.”

As of today, March 27, I’m a PUI. I heard about Ben&Ben but I never met them. I stumbled upon Spotify the song, “Leaves”. It caught my heart. As a PUI, I feel the stigma of having this virus. People are afraid to be near you. It feels like you’re treated as one of the reasons why someone else is sick. As a PUI, I’d like to believe that I’m okay. That everything is alright. I’m staying in one place, quarantined in a room, not allowed to go home. I didn’t tell my parents, relatives or even friends about my situation. Because if I do, they will be worried and they might go outside to meet me. Part of me is saying that I need them. But more than that I want to believe that I can do this. That I am strong. “ALL WILL BE ALRIGHT IN TIME”. One day, I will see the world again, as beautiful as how Ben&Ben described it in the song. I don’t know if my story will get published. But for those who would read this: If you are a frontliner, thank you for your sacrifices and love. You may not see it but you are loved by everyone of us. Surely, blessings will shower upon you and your family. For those who, like me, are fighting, we can do this! Our mind is more powerful than our body and we must never lose hope. If you feel alone like I do, don’t worry. Someone understands what you are going through. I dream of continuing my mission as a public servant and take up Law soon. I dream of a better world. I cling on to that. Lets continue dreaming for a brighter future. Spread love and learn to forgive. Take this chance to realize what’s important.
