“Yes, COVID-19 is sad, but we can still be happy. We need to speak for those who have no voice in the decision-making tables. We need to stay sane and be healthy. We need energy. Let us try to keep the balance.”

I am still stuck here in Clark. Our host organization is trying its best to get me the earliest flight back home after Bohol’s community quarantine, which shall hopefully end on March 20. I am accommodated in the same hotel with all the amenities and food that I need. Before this, I have dreamed of stopping, leaving work behind and just focus on doing nothing for a week or two. Here I am I guess fortunately and unfortunately. Stopping. My schedules back┬áhome are all cancelled. I have to prepare for some activities which are now rescheduled to the 3rd week of April. I also need to sign an important document, which I can no longer do because I cannot send through any courier. Tourism, another source of my income, was basically halted. I am still occupied with some work while I am here. But pretty much, I am doing things I have not done in months like walking in the afternoon. This is what makes me feel happy. Yes, COVID-19 is sad, but we can still be happy. We need to speak for those who have no voice in the decision-making tables. We need to stay sane and be healthy. We need energy. Let us try to keep the balance.
